We’re always looking for ways to improve your web experience and we’re excited to share this update to the Parent Portal. You asked and we listened: this redesign puts current news, upcoming events and useful links all in the same place. And, going forward, news articles will also be archived and searchable so no more going issue by issue, looking for that article you saw last month. We sincerely hope that you find these new features useful and would love to hear your feedback, good or bad. Please email email@example.com.
SI Continues Conversations About Race and Privilege
As an Ignatian community, we are called to walk with the poor, the marginalized, and those whose dignity has been violated, in a mission of reconciliation and justice. As an educational institution, it is essential that we process, struggle, and ask questions together, striving to understand and act justly.
We want to embrace diversity, recognizing all races, and be color brave. In a world of differences, if we can learn to value and acknowledge them first, then we can honor them and focus on the commonalities that lie beyond.
Throughout the school community, we are engaging in critical and courageous conversations - initially through affinity group discussions and then followed by cross-cultural dialogue in the weeks and months ahead.
Despite our imperfections, we are all blessed to be members of the St. Ignatius community. Like all human communities, we have significant work ahead of us. At this moment in time, we are all called to embody our school mission more fully, and in turn, do our part in making a more just world for all.
